Saturday, May 13 2023
This year the 8th grade band will be competing at Kings Island on Saturday, May 14. Immediately following the competition we will load up the buses and head to the park for a day filled with fun and excitement.
Due to the long travel time, we will be traveling via Charter Coaches from Miller Transportation. Bring your favorite G-Rated movies to watch to and from Kings Island and a great attitude as this trip promises to be a great experience for everyone and I can NOT WAIT until May comes around.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congratulations - YOU DID IT!! 1st place in Class A and Grand Champion Middle School Band!! Also, congrats on winning the Esprit de Corps award for the second year in a row! WAY TO GO!! I cannot tell you enough how proud I am of our 7th and 8th grade band! You have all worked extremely hard this year and the past few weeks have come together as a "band" and have shown everyone exactly how great our OCMS Band Program is.
I want to thank you, students, for not only your musical excellence, but for your outstanding behavior, respect toward the other bands, respect toward our chaperones and bus drivers, and for representing our band program and school with pride. I am proud to be your band director and to wear the letters - OCMS.
I want to thank you, chaperones, for coming with us and helping me on this trip. The kids had a blast and I hope you all did too!
Thank you, again, everybody for a wonderful Kings Island Trip - I'm already planning on something special for next year!!
