2023 Solo and Ensemble Festival

      The KMEA District 5 Solo and Ensemble Festival gives students an opportunity to excel individually or in small instrumental groups. Students may select their own music (with Mr. Wise’s approval) or Mr. Wise will assist in the selection. This event is very beneficial to the development of our total band program.  The Festival is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade band students who want to participate and will be held at North Oldham High School on Saturday, March 4.  A signup sheet has been posted in the band room for students to sign should they want to participate.  Please encourage your child to sign up!  

In order to ensure that your child does not “over do it”, we will need to limit each student to the following options:  one solo and/or three ensembles.  This will allow each student/event six to seven minutes to perform and receive coaching from their judge. 

Fees: Solo’s are $10 each, duets are $5 each, trios and quartets are $4 each.  Music will only be given to students after payment has been submitted.  You can pay by cash or check, please make checks out to OCMS 360.
